On savait déjàque plein d'orgas débiles voulaient nous rendre sourds, mais ça ne suffit pas apparement...

13 August 2009 - Tomorrowland has laser troubles
This year, the ID&T's Tomorrowland festival reached its max capacity, with 200 deejays and 90.000 party people. However, they now have troubles with a few people who, as says 'De Morgen', complained to the police for eye damage after a contact with a laser beam. Two customers have been examined and treated at UZ Leuven, but the damage for one seems irreversible: he lost the central vision of an eye. There is more hope for a 21yo girl, the other examined customer.
That clearly asks the question of the permanently increasing power used for the lightshows. You all know the small red lasers some use to point things on screens, or to get cats crazy... weel, that's written on most of them: "don't point at any eyes. this laser is dangerous if directly pointing in the eyes." (or smthg like that). So, how could a massive 6000mW laser be harmless?
But ID&T Belgium had absolutely no report of safety problems during the dance festival, and says that this is just not possible. "We work only with very professional companies which are specialised in placing lasers, and everything has been strongly checked and controlled".
Future will tell... but in the meantime, just avoid challenging the laserbeam with your best look... just keep on dancing!
